The chimney, with its characteristic "Fagus" sign, stands exactly 50 meters (164 feet) tall. It is undoubtedly one of the Fagus Factory's key landmarks. Its structure is as simple as it is brillant: circular, tapered towards the top, and wrapped in light and chocolate-colored tiles. Around the lower third, up to the height of the main building, slim, horizontal stripes can be seen in dark-brown brick. They reflect the plinths of the other buildings. Above this, a crown of ribbed supports carries a firefighting water storage tank, from which the logo still stands out visibly for miles. The chimney was erected in the summer of 1915, at the same time as the new engine house.
