This microscope incorporated a maneuverable cylindrical pillar that holds the specimens' tweezers, a maneuverable lens, the specimens' observation slide and the tweezers, which can be adjusted with a rack and pinion. The pillar is screwed to a tripod-shaped support with curving feet. The central tube with the triple-lens is screwed to the top of the pillar.
This scientific tool allowed for major advances in science and became an essential tool in laboratories. Galileo Galilei was the first scientist who used a simple microscope. (Biconvex lens). The invention of the compound microscope is attributed to Dutchman Zacharias Janssen.
