A collection of Yeongjo’s poetry and prose composed between 1764 (Year 4 of Yeongjo) and 1770. His writings written from aged 71 to 74 were compiled as 6 main volumes, and writings from 75 to 77 were compiled as 6 supplementary books, published in Gyoseogwan. Yeongjo himself indicates here that he composed these writings for the self reflection and prevention of moral laxity. It is highly significant that the king himself wrote about his own daily life.
