Lean Into The Storm

From the artist: "[This work] came to me as the message I wanted to give my twin daughters, as they went off to start their lives as young adults. Leaning into the storms and hard times of life is the best way to get through them."

James' technique is self-taught, an evolution of experimentation with a variety of materials and styles. "My hope is that each person viewing my work will be able to relate to the sculpture in their own lives and feel emotion because to me, that is what art should do to you, evoke an emotion."
