Luxurious Multilingual Polish-French-English Edition of Works by A. Mickiewicz

"Konrad Wallenrod i Grażyna Adama Mickiewicza" is a luxurious variant of the multilingual Polish-French-English edition of works by A. Mickiewicz. The individual translations were made by Krystyn Ostrowski and Leon Jabłoński. The book contains also “Song to the Vila” by Adam Mickiewicz, with musical notes by Stanisław Moniuszko and Ferdinand Hiller. The whole compilation contains woodcuts produced based on drawings by Jan Tysiewicz (Władysław Niewiarowicz), coloured by him personally. This copy is one of just few hand-coloured by Tysiewicz and bound in leather by the famous Parisian bookbinder Leon Gruel.
