Men’s Coat

Simui is a coat for men of the Joseon Dynasty. It was made by sewing its top to join the skirt at the waist. The top and skirt were made with about four and twelve panels of cloth, respectively. The collar was straight, while the hems and bottom trims were wrapped with a black strip. It was worn with a black bokgeon hood, mostly by Confucian scholars.
