Simatai Great Wall
Beijing, China

"The Ming Great Wall in Miyun District of Beijing stretched 210 kilometers and has 666 towers. It surrounds the east, north and west of Miyun County and passes through 53 large villages in 12 townships. The Great Wall in Miyun County accounts for 1/3 of the total number of Great Walls in Beijing and is also one of the counties with the longest stretches of Great Wall in China.
Simatai Great Wall was built in the early years of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (AD 1373), which was built on the basis of the Great Wall in Northern Qi Dynasty. It was originally under the jurisdiction of Gubei Road, Zhongji Town, the "Nine Towns" in Ming Dynasty.
Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty once wrote an inscription for Gubeikou, "The mountain comes from the dome and flows to Xiongguan Pass". Then, in the eighth year of Qianlong (1745), Emperor Qianlong patrolled northern China and wrote another poem "Looking at the Great Wall": Jinyong Pass was on the top of the mountain, supposing it was strictly guarded at that time. However, if Tianjiao dispels Maodun, people's grievances will be known. The Great Wall has witnessed the rise and fall of the times. Heaven has no orientation, it is people who decides the fate.
