A rule book on the usage of the candles at the royal funeral rituals and the costumes of participating officials, published in 1752 (Year 28 of Yeongjo). On 27th November 1751 when king’s order was given to correct the funeral ritual, the work was started. The title of the book is ‘Sangjechok jeongnye’, and in the middle of the book is written ‘Takji jeongnye’. In the metal type, several letters were added for printing.

  • Korean caption: 1752년(영조 28) 왕실의 상례 • 제례 시에 소용되는 초[燭]의 수량과 참여 관원들의 복식 규정집. 1751년 11월 27일에 촉정식(燭定式) 제도를 바로잡으라는 전교가 내리자 만들어졌다. 표제는 ‘상제촉정례(喪祭燭定例)’이며 판심제는 ‘탁지정례(度支定例)’이다. 금속활자인 무신자(戊申字)에 여러 보자(補字)를 섞어서 간행하였다.
