Noh mask Yamamba

This is exclusively used for the title role of “Yamanba.” Yamanba is an energetic mountain spirit, who lives in the deep mountains, runs from ridge to ridge, and crosses valleys, rejoicing over the changing beauty of the four seasons. Even though she is an elderly woman, she has quite a powerful face with rough eyebrows rising upward, open eyes and exposed teeth.
