Prominently displayed facing Maggie Walker's bed, this low-relief plaque features the line from Matthew 19:14 - "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God." An educator at heart, Walker's love of children motivated many of her initiatives within the Independent Order of St. Luke, including her establishment of the St. Luke Juvenile Division.
