Seville City Council (Ayuntamiento de Sevilla) is the city's local public administration. The Andalusian capital is the fourth largest city in Spain in terms of population. Its architectural and historical heritage, along with its many cultural and theatrical spaces, make it a prime destination for national and international tourism; it is one of the most visited places in Spain. Its most famous landmarks—the Cathedral, the Royal Alcázar, and the General Archive of the Indies—have together been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
