Seijiro Endo
He was born in Iwate prefecture in 1894. He moved to Tokyo in 1917 to become an interpreter for foreigners and gain interest in English. In the same year, he entered Singer Sewing Machine Co., and played an active role as a salesman and made huge profit. He met Isaburo Namiki in 1919 and by supporting management of school he came to think that the clothing education is his calling and left the Singer Sewing Machine Co. Then he devoted himself to school administration and did a good PR job on collecting students. While expanding the publishing arm such as “Fukusou Bunka”, “Soen”, and “Bunka Fukuso Koza”, he also grew sister schools. He made a huge contribution in organizing college and prosperity of the school. He died in 1960 at the age of 66.
