The body of it is covered with black paint.Between the paint and the wooden body is a layer of tile ash.Tai Gu Xi Sheng has patterns looks like intermittent running water and mother-of-pearl inlays.This lyre lost its tuning columns and strings but has a burnt tail made by red wood and beautiful wooden pillars which likes the flower of five-petaled Okra.
