Full-sky map of the oldest light in the universe, red spots hot, blue cold, from data obtained by WMAP (Wilkinson Microwave Anistrophy Probe), a satellite in deep space orbit since 2001 studying microwaves left over from the Big Bang and the patterns hidden in that radiation to explain the universe.
