Board Game

Clara Barton and her many visitors enjoyed playing “Round the World with Nellie Bly” board game at her Glen Echo, MD home. The game is based upon the legendary 72-day trip Elizabeth Jane Cochran took around the world, mimicking Jules Verne's book Around the World in Eighty Days. Cochran was an American journalist, author, industrialist, and charity worker. She is most famous for an undercover exposé in which she faked insanity to study a mental institution from within.
