In 1974, Professor Ralph Anspach invented a game called Anti-monopoly. The game involves "trust busting" and the winner is the player who busts the most trusts and has the highest score, earned in 'social credit points' at the end of the game. It is, simply, the opposite of the game Monopoly. Its story is far more complicated, however. Anspach was immediately sued by General Mills, then the owner of the Monopoly copyrights. A ten-year legal battle ensued, including some very nasty proceedings brought about by big business corporate lawyers, which finally ended with Anspach's vindication. He is now allowed to publish his game. During the ten years, the real story of the origins of Monopoly was also uncovered, including the fact that Parker Brothers hid these origins for many years. This is Anspach's first version, from 1974
