Pulsed magnetic inflector for injection into the PSB. The inflector features a ferrite yoke and a septum thinned down to 1 mm at the downstream end. Both water-cooling along the septum edge and the wedge-shaped beam scraper at the upstream end serve to reduce excessive septum heating from impinging protons.
