Letter from the Pennsylvania Society for Promoting the Abolition of Slavery to the Delaware Society for Promoting the Abolition of Slavery stating that they would send printed copies of several acts of the Pennsylvania legislature regarding the gradual abolition of slavery and the constitution of their society. The letter describes the acts of a Philadelphia ship owner in transporting Africans to the West Indies for slavery and then making port in Wilmington, Delaware to circumvent the laws in Pennsylvania and requesting that the Delaware society encourage their governor to abolish slavery.
