Board game:The Game of Robin Hood

Board game manufacturers often produced games based on literature or popular folk tales. They doubtless hoped that well-loved characters and their expoits would catch the attention of children or their game-buying parents. Parker Brothers made their "The Game of Robin Hood" in 1893 with just such a theme. The English folk tale of Robin Hood and his merry men remained popular in England and America throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. The game features a simple race and strategy method for play.
