Board game:Game of Matrimony or Old Maid

J.H. Singer's late nineteenth century board game, "Matrimony or Old Maid," bears almost no resemblance to the popular card game "Old Maid." Several board game manufacturers made versions of this game, perhaps trying to capitalize on the popularity of the card game. A race type game, Matrimony does bear stereotypical references to marriage and spinsterhood along its path.
