This is the finest bronze from the famous Phophnar hoard of Gupta-Vakataka images. It shows the Buddha standing on the calyx of a lotus flower (missing here), which is mounted on a rectangular pedestal and carved with floral patterns. His right hand is in abhaya-mudra (protection pose) while his left hand holds the hem of his outer garment (sanghati).
