Gorillas are the largest of the apes, and next to the chimpanzees, they are the closest relatives of humans. The males can reach a height of up to 1.8 meters and weigh 280 kilograms. Gorillas live in small family groups in the dense rainforests of Africa. They are almost exclusively found on the ground and feed on a purely vegetarian diet.
