Re-assembly of the Heavy-Liquid Bubble Chamber

1965

CERN

CERN
Geneva, Switzerland

The album photo shows an interesting view of the enlarged CERN heavy-liquid bubble chamber, taken during its re-assembly in preparation for the latest experiment with antineutrinos at the proton synchrotron. Photographed through the aperture in the 27 000-gauss magnet that surrounds the chamber during operation, Henri Lénique is seen preparing to mount a beam window in the new chamber body.
