Order from Uue-Võidu rural municipality regarding requisitioning of herd animals

Pre-selected animals were to be transported to Viljandi railway station. Hay and straw were to be supplied along with the animals, and both had to be twisted and tied into bundles. For reliable identification of requisitioned animals, the names of all cows and bulls were listed
The requisitioning was semi-voluntary – livestock had to be surrendered to the military, but the municipalities arranged from whom the cattle were taken and in what quantity. The animals had to be at least 26kg in weight and less than 12 years old. Compensation was provided for both the livestock and the hay and straw.
