The history of the "Donkey Party" game, also known as "Pin the Tail on the Donkey," is unknown. It likely evolved from a home made game. McLoughlin Brothers manufactured this version in 1901. The instructions call for the child to pin the tail, pierced by a real straight pin, on the first thing he or she contacts. Hopefully the other players, not blindfolded, will know enough to keep out of the player's way.
