Solenoidal spectrometer at LEAR. Installation work in the low-energy antiproton experimental area to be served by LEAR. The last beams provided directly by the PS internal target stopped working in 1981, to make way for the new and highly sophisticated technique required to produce pure beams of “cooled” antiprotons over a momentum range of 0.1 – 2 GeV/c.
