A full body portrait of a ballerina with pink tutu.
Almaraz was an artist deeply related to the last years of mexican muralism. This is one of his earliest works.
Not all of his work referred to mexican history, culture, traditions, politics or social issues. He also work with portraits and unrelated subjects like this portrait of a ballerina girl. She is caught in the middle of her movement, as other canvases the place is not defined except the line of the floor. The true protagonist of the painting are her hair bows that draw the attention to her face.
