The 10-cent Battle of Bunker Hill commemorative stamp was first placed on sale at Charlestown, Massachusetts, on June 17, 1975. The stamp commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill. This battle took place at the onset of the Revolutionary War and is considered a decisive turning point for the American colonies.

Bradbury Thompson designed the stamp, which was issued in sheets of forty, with an initial printing of 140 million.
