Margaret Herrera (Chávez) (born 1912 Las Vegas, New Mexico; died 1992 Albuquerque, New Mexico) grew up on a ranch in Mora County. She is one of few known and documented Nuevamexicana artists working in New Mexico in the 1950s and 1960s. Herrera created multiple depictions of the San Felipe de Neri Church in Old Town, Albuquerque in a variety of media. Oil on canvas. Museum Purchase.
