1920's Club Members
This picture is probably taken out side the house on Ben buckler that Wally weeks lent to the club and the official opening ceremony with the Mayor R G Watkin on the 21/2/1908 . At this time the club had more than one life saving instructor , Mr Bond being the main one, and had been granted a life saving reel from a request made ,on the 25 Dec 1907 to Waverley council. The member ship of the club jumped from 20 in the Tent to 125 in the new club that also proudly boasted a gym. It was in this club the the name of the cub was changed from North Bondi Surf and Social life saving Club to North Bondi Surf life saving club. The decision to ask Waverley council for permission to build a Club room and where Wally Weeks asked the local influential people to loan with no security the money to finance the new club were made.
