This railroad inspection car was built by the Fairmont Railway Motors, Inc. in Fairmont, Minnesota, around 1927. At 395 pounds, it could carry three men up a 4% grade. It has an 8 HP, condenser cooled engine and an endless cord belt which acts as a clutch. Now housed at the Trolley Barn in History Park, it was originally owned by the Market Street Railway and ran between San Francisco and San Mateo.
