Front and left hand side view. Rolls Royce is widely known for producing luxury vehicles. Their cars may not be the fastest or have superior technology, but they are famous for quality. The Phantom V was produced from 1959 to 1968 and it is believed that 832 were manufactured. The most interesting aspect of their technology is that they are geared low to permit driving at a walking space.
Rolls Royce is renowned for their association with the royals and the thought of them conjures up an image of elegance. This particular Phantom V was used to transport the Governor General and visiting Royal Family. Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Princess Diana and other royals have ridden in this vehicle when visiting Australia. The interior features leather seats, timber panelling and even a small bar.
