Silver and gold coins were minted in Narva, which gained in importance during the Swedish rule in Estonia (1561—1710). This 4 öre coin in Swedish currency was minted in 1671. On its reverse side it carries the coat of arms of Narva, its obverse is marked with C, the monogram of king Charles XI. The diameter of the silver coin is 23 mm.
