Flounce border of bobbin lace in linen and silver threads. With ornamental fillings and separately made figures, applied and worked in silver thread, and grounded with a réseau. Border of tape at top and bottom. The two sides of the border have different designs arranged symmetrically on either side of a central motif. On one side is a vase with a crowned double-headed eagle and coat of arms above, from which spring scrolling stems bearing flowers and leaves. Amongst the stems is a figure riding a winged horse and shooting with a bow and arrow, and a figure being attacked by a dragon, and lions, angels, reclining figures, dogs and birds. On the other side of the central motif is a fountain surmounted by a cherub spouting water. Below this fountain is an inscription. The main part of the design is formed of scrolling leaves and flowers amongst which appear huntsmen attacking stags, two stags, each with a cross between its horns, angels, monkeys and birds.
