"'Waiting for Voluptia' is a piece that seeks the pleasure, the pure sensitivity and finally the exquisite sensuality, which are not only the fundamental characteristics of dance, but also closely found in the magnificent music, which is said to have been inspired by the sight of Dresden in ruins after the war. This music by Dmitri Sjostakovitsj is not only a homage in memory of the victims of fascism, but moreover, in my opinion, a dedication to the last of the kind natured men 'l'homme voluptueux' who, like other animal species, is in the process of becoming extinct." – Paulo Ribeiro
