Paata (Low seat)

In Haryana, paata is mostly used by women while cooking food on a chulha (hearth) or washing utensils and clothes. Women sit on it, resting both feet on the ground with knees upright, while carrying out these activities. These two paata were recorded in the kitchen of the same residence.
