Palang (Charpoy)

A charpoy is also known as palang. This palang, found in a haveli, had legs with elaborate carving. Jute and munjh (sarkanda) ropes were used to make the webbing of this palang. Both, the legs and the webbing, had begun to wear out with use and over time.
