The series of chairs designed for use in kindergartens—and the accompanying cloud-shaped children’s table—follows Balázs Pálmai’s earlier, animal-shaped furniture-cum-sculptures (‘Shark Bench,’ ‘Chicken Chair’), but includes simpler solutions, facilitating mass production. The seat and back of the chairs are made of a single piece of plywood, bent and painted in different colours. The outlines of the backrests are in the shape of stylized animal heads, reminiscent of children’s toys, including a rabbit, a pig, a calf, a cat, a horse, and an elephant.
