Phatti (Low seat)

This phatti was used at a residence in Amritsar as a seat for household chores. A wooden stick with the red dori tied around it was placed on the phatti when it was used for rituals and ceremonies. This simple makeshift arrangement lends a sense of sacredness to the otherwise everyday low seat.
