Noble Residence - Rio de Janeiro

Linde1860 - 1865

Museu Imperial

Museu Imperial
Petrópolis, Brazil

A noble residence of a single pavement with neoclassical facade with beautiful stucco, in center of ground and with orchard to the right. In the foreground, a beautiful gate with two thick columns so in vogue at the time. In front, a path where we see black people talking near a cow and her calf; The path is tightened by a hilltop flap that we see on the left. The whole background is mountainous and  it is created by the artist's imagination. The Location is not identified, possibly Laranjeiras, near Largo do Boticário (Cosme Velho) Note: Gilberto Ferrez
