On 3 May 1982, the Constitution Day that the communist authorities have never recognized and celebrated, many Polish cities became a scene of riots between the participants of illegal marches and the militia. In the photograph: a group of people erects a barricade in Warsaw’ Old Town district, to defend themselves from the attacks of militia’s special ZOMO forces.
