Li Hsin-Yuan has combined together a topic she has long emphasized on, which is a classic fairytale with a plot that stays in one's mind long after the book has been tossed aside. The story comes from reality, but has formed a world of its own; one that is ancient and bizarre, which allows it to exist outside the pages of the book. The narration is a descriptive space that interjects into the story, and perhaps it is the profile or the mediator of the story; however, when it is being narrated independently, another set of plot seems to spin off. These series of works are situated in the memory and the current moment, and through the cross reading between the words and the imageries, an imaginative setting is created with senses of time and space.
