From the Artist: I am a retired art teacher. I usually teach special art enrichment programs for the school district of lower Westchester County during the school year, but because of the Covid-19 Pandemic, I lost my job and had to stay home since last February 2020. I decided to create some paintings and sculptures in different media, so that one day in the future, I could teach children how to express their feelings through drawing, painting and sculpting.
A Glimmer of Hope is a wire sculpture. A strong hand, a human figure and a shimmering globe of hope! It was created with electric wire and mounted on wood. It is the total expression of Hope, Life, Health and Confidence that the human race needs during these uncertain times. A message of hope and unity for all!
