A hawk is staring forward with its wings at rest on the offshore rock under the red sun. The sun is veiled in gold mist while the waves crashing on the rock are tossing up white spray. The plumage of the imposing hawk is depicted in gradation of black ink and gofun (shell-based white pigment) using fine line brush.
