There are two main currents in the contemporary inspirations of traditional Polish folk culture: references to historical, fixed forms, typical for folk art and ornaments and the interest in the techniques, materials and ways of producing items. However, the projects and products of the authors active in either of the currents show different approach to the artistic way from inspiration to completion. Some are inspired by ready-made products, other draw from the sources of regional cultures, getting in touch with craftsmen in order to use traditional production techniques.
