The chapel of St. Peter the Apostle ( the Patron of the municipality of Brancaleone), belongs to the noble family Caraffa del Bianco, owner of an extensive part of the extreme Ionian coast of Calabria. It had been destroyed to build an hotel leaving ruins of what is a historical-cultural sign of a fundamental passage in the history and identity of the whole community. The choice of the monument aims at recovering the historical identy of the place, not only for the community of Brancaleone, but also for the family of the Caraffa di Bianco and ideally to rebuild the place where the cult of the Saint took place until the 1930s. -40s of the last century, linked to the economic activity of fishing and to one of the most important fairs of the air.
