    NEW FOREST TREES FOR CORONATION STANDS. AW/FM A portable saw mill in the New Forest is working at top speed to keep pace with the flow of timber as trees felled nearby are brought in to fulfil the vast orders for Coronation Timber. The timber is sawn up into planks on the spot for stand on the Coronation route. The work is carried out by the Forestry Commission. Photo shows- Woodmen in the New Forest felling a Scots pine which will be used for Coronation stand timber. Fox, January 18th. 1937. TIMBER FOR CORONATION SEATS - New Forest trees are being felled to cope with the vast orders for Coronation timber. Saws are working at top speed to cut the trees into planks.
