The pianist Teresa Xavier (teacher at Conservatory of Music of Porto)

Teresa Xavier has been a piano teacher at the Oporto Music Conservatory since 1990. She has trained many students who completed the Piano Complementary Course in their class, pursuing higher education studies. She is currently Coordinator of the Curricular Department of Keys at the Conservatory of Music of Porto. Born in Porto, she holds a degree from the University of Music in Vienna (Hochshule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien) and a Master's degree in Education Sciences from the University of Lisbon. She has taken courses in Pianistic Improvement with Professors Helena Costa, Moura Castro, Natalie Pepin, Regina Seidlhofer, Jörg Demus, among others. Participated in Seminars of Piano Pedagogy with Professors Jürgen Uhde, Marie-Françoise Bucquet and Edson Elias. He regularly performs as a soloist as well as in chamber music ensembles.
