Nachum Mack was captured by a German guard on 15/11/1942, trying to escape from the ghetto. During his escape attempt, he shot into the air with a gun he had in his possession. He was placed in prison by the ghetto police, and at the same time the German SD imprisoned the vice president of the Judenrat Lev Garfunkel, the head of the Labor Force Yaakov Goldberg and the secretary of the Judenrat Avraham Golob Tory (the submitter).
On 18/11/1942 at noon Mack was taken to be killed according to the orders of the Germans.
On 19/11/1942 the Germans decreed that Mack's mother and sister should be transferred to the Ninth Fort and killed.
