Amritsar, India

This ‘piri’ ( a wooden seat) is about a 100 years old and is made from a single piece of wood. It was brought across the border when the family migrated from East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in 1949. It holds a lot of sentimental value for Haratosh Chatterjee as it has the initials of his paternal grandfather are engraved on it.Generously gifted by Haratosh Chatterjee.
